The Toilet:
- Flush toilet with several buckets of water from well.
- Close lid
- Cover toilet paper with can.
- Cover ash container and place rock on top of lid to keep secure
- Remove trash and pack out.
The Well:
- Cover well with custom made lid and place rock on top of lid to keep secure
- Remove bucket with weight attached for water retrieval and place in kitchen upside down with other water buckets stacked on top
The Kitchen:
- Disconnect and remove propane tank from two burner stove and place in shed. Be sure propane tank, burners, and gas lamp valves are closed. Wrap tank outlet with aluminum foil and secure. Wrap foil around inlet for two burner stove and secure.
- Stove ashes should be combined with METAL bowl in cabin fireplace.
- Close stove flu
- Remove trash and pack out.
- Clean and sweep kitchen
- Place sufficient supply of stove wood stacked against south wall next to stove.
- Cover wood outside and secure.
- Place kitchen table benches on top of kitchen table.
- Place CLEAN barbecue grill back in kitchen just inside cabin facing door.
- Lock East kitchen door from inside with wooden lock. Secure lock with nails through holes in lock ends.
- Place rock outside same door at base making sure door is completely closed.
- Secure wood cover over kitchen window if removed
- Close south door while fishing chain through hole with wire. Secure door with latches above and rock at bottom. Lock door with chain attached.
The Shed:
- Make sure kitchen propane tank and fuel for chainsaw is in shed.
- Lock shed door and secure.
- Place key to shed over front door in cabin.
The Sheep Herders Shack:
- Empty ashes in METAL bowl and cover with Metal lid. Place under stove on METAL platform.
- sweep or vacuum carpet.
- Cover beds with plastic or canvas covers.
- Board windows.
- Lock door and return key to above door in the Cabin.
- Secure windmill if unsecured.
The Cabin:
- Cover beds with plastic sheets.
- Board windows with appropriate E, W, and S covers and latch.
- Place chairs on top of covered beds.
- Clean out kitchen stove ashes and place in METAL bowl found in cabin fireplace. Place cabin fireplace ashes and remaining coals if any in same metal bowl. Leave metal bowl in fireplace and cover with METAL lid. Do NOT put any live coals outside anywhere.
- Close fireplace flu and put screen back.
- Stack enough wood in cabin for a day's worth of fire to the left of fireplace.
- Clean and sweep cabin TOWARD fireplace.
- Make sure vent tubes under front door threshold are clear by blowing and using metal rod hanging above door to clear.
- Close front door with screen mesh in place at lower corner where door shuts to prevent mice from getting in through the crack.
- Lock door with chain attached to cabin.
- Cover wood in front of cabin and secure.
Pack out any trash and secure barbed wire gate when leaving to prevent cattle from entering. If Sheep Herders Shack road gate was unlocked, close and lock.
